Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." - "Jesus took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them." Mark 10:13-16.
In Deuteronomy 11:18, God tells the people, "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds;" in verse 19 – "Teach them to our children..."
Our "Mission" is simply to teach the Word of God, & the life of Jesus Christ to our children, teaching them how to live their lives in a way that shows the love of God to all they meet. Teaching them that they can receive Salvation at their age, & live an overcoming life as Christians through the power of the Holy Spirit. Children are not too young to receive & share the Love and Salvation of Christ to those they meet & know. Children are a "gift" from God & should be treated with tenderness, kindness, respect & love.
 A Word from Children's Ministries
Children today are barraged on all sides from television, movies, video games, unstable home lives, bullies, drugs and alcohol. God has given us an opportunity to teach, train and nurture the little ones to know that Jesus has answers for them, even at their tender young ages. That is a challenge we here at Sunset Avenue take very seriously. As the days pass into weeks, and weeks into months, and the months into years we must realize that we don't have time to waste, because the Harvest is right before us, at our very feet!
